Note: If your workspace doesn’t yet have sharing capabilities, contact your Harvey Success Manager to activate this feature.

As an Admin, you can manage sharing permissions for both Assistant and Vault independently, giving you greater control and flexibility over how content is shared within your workspace.

How to Adjust Sharing Settings

  1. Go to the Sharing section within the Settings menu.

  2. Use the toggles to adjust sharing permissions at the feature, individual, or workspace level.


FAQ

Q: What happens if the workspace Admin disables sharing?

If an admin disables sharing, all previously shared items will be set to private. Even if sharing is later re-enabled, the items will remain private and must be manually shared again.

Q: How do admins control sharing?

Admins play a key role in enabling sharing features. Sharing options must be enabled by admins at the workspace level for the feature to appear in the user experience. Admins can also fine-tune sharing permissions, such as disabling sharing via link while still allowing users to share with specific individuals.

Q: How can my organization enforce ethical walls or restrict access to shared items?

It is incumbent upon each customer to enforce user access to entities within Harvey (e.g. enforce ethical walls between attorneys). Harvey does not currently provide any integrations or controls for restricting sharing access between specific (sets of) users.
