Setting up your user profile allows Harvey to customize its features to match your specific professional needs. During the initial setup, you'll provide key information that helps Harvey provide more relevant and precise assistance.
Your Harvey Experience
Your user profile allows for two key customizations: practice area and preferred language. Additionally, your selected profession and experience level help Harvey tailor responses to your specific needs—laying the foundation for even more personalized features in the future.
Practice Area
Select up to three practice areas to receive targeted prompts and examples that align with your professional focus. Whether you're in litigation, transactions, or a specialized field, Harvey will surface the most relevant resources.
Preferred Language
Harvey responds in the language of your prompt, regardless of your preferred language setting. Here’s how it works:
Consistent Dialect Usage: If you’ve selected a specific dialect in your User Profile, Harvey will use that dialect consistently—unless you request otherwise.
Example: If your preferred dialect is English (American) and you write in English, all responses will be in English (American).
Available Dialects:
English (American)
English (Australian)
English (British)
Spanish (European)
Spanish (Latin American)
Note: If your preferred language is not listed above, Harvey will default to the language of your prompt unless you explicitly request otherwise.
Prompt Language Takes Priority: If you write a prompt in a different language than your preferred setting, Harvey will respond in that language.
Example: If your preferred language is English (American) but you submit a prompt in French, Harvey will respond in French.
How to Update Your Profile
Updating your profile is simple:
Navigate to Settings in the bottom left corner of Harvey.
Select the Profile tab.
Make changes to your selections.
Click ‘Save changes’.
