Overview
Harvey connects directly to key legal knowledge sources, allowing lawyers to search, reference and analyze through Assistant. Selecting a Knowledge Source when querying in Assistant will ensure responses are grounded in the latest relevant jurisdictional information. Typical use-cases for Knowledge Sources include:
Legislation
- Clarification and Interpretation of Legal Provisions: Questions focused on understanding the meaning or application of specific provisions within laws or regulations.
- Application of Laws to Specific Scenarios: Inquiries about how to apply general legal principles to specific, real-world cases or circumstances.
Case Law
- Legal Precedents and Their Impact: Questions regarding the influence of past court decisions on current legal matters or disputes.
- Consequences of Legal Actions or Inaction: Inquiries about the legal implications of specific actions, omissions, or failures to comply with the law, often linked to court rulings.
