Changing Your Language Settings in Harvey
Learn how to change Harvey's interface and responses to your preferred language.
Last updated: Jul 9, 2026
Overview
Harvey's language localization feature lets you set a preferred language for your personal web app interface and query responses, helping you to navigate Harvey in the language you work in day to day.
From Settings, you can control two language preferences:
- Interface language: Controls the language used throughout the Harvey web app interface, including menus, navigation, and system messages.
- Output language: Controls the default language Harvey uses when generating responses to queries.
Harvey is introducing new language support on an ongoing basis. To jump to the current list, click Supported Languages in the Table of Contents.
How to Set Your Language Preferences
- In Settings, select Profile.
- In the Interface language field, select your preferred language from the dropdown. Harvey will apply the language to your web app interface.

- In the Output language field, select your preferred language from the dropdown. Harvey will apply the language when generating responses to queries.

- Select Save changes.
Tip: You can always ask Harvey to respond in a specific language directly within a prompt, regardless of your saved Output language setting.
Supported Languages
This list reflects currently supported languages and will be updated as new languages become available.
Early Access (EA) vs. General Availability (GA)
We currently offer language localization in both EA and GA stages. EA localization languages are fully functional but may still be refined as we actively monitor data quality, reliability, and incorporate user feedback. Once a language consistently meets our standards for stability and performance, it is promoted to GA and becomes fully supported for everyday use.
