Playbook Editing With Assistant
Use the updated Playbook editor and Edit with Assistant feature to manage rules and edit Playbook content directly in Harvey.
What's New
Harvey's Playbook editor has been updated with new rule controls and a conversational editing option, Edit with Assistant. Here’s how these features can help improve your Playbooks:
- Updated Playbook editor interface: You can now add, reorder, delete, and search rules from one interface. You can also set global guidance that applies across the entire Playbook.
- Edit with Assistant button: Select this feature and describe the changes you want, and Harvey will draft updates, suggest improvements, and ask clarifying questions in real time. You can also ask Harvey to automatically improve a rule.
Why It Matters
Harvey’s updated Playbook editor and Edit with Assistant feature reduce the manual effort involved in editing and maintaining Playbooks. These editing features can help with:
- Faster editing and iteration: Harvey works with you conversationally to draft and refine rules, significantly reducing the time it takes to adjust your Playbook behavior.
- Greater rule complexity: New fields for guidance, escalations, and conditionals let you capture nuanced legal positions and escalation logic.
How to Use

Yes. Existing permissions and governance settings continue to control who can access and edit Playbooks.
