New Playbook Roles, Filters, and Admin Controls
New permissions, filters, and admin tools give teams more control over who can create, manage, and track Playbooks—plus several usability upgrades.
We’ve made Playbooks easier to manage, build, and scale across your workspace with a new tiered permission model, smarter filters, and new tools to support collaboration and oversight.
Role-Based Permissions
Admins can now assign more granular Playbook roles:
- Playbook Manager: Can publish shared playbooks to the workspace
- Playbook Creator: Can create and share playbooks
- Playbook User: Can run or edit playbooks shared with them
Admins can assign roles directly in Settings.
Smarter Filters
You’ll now see Playbooks grouped into four tabs:
- Private (just for you)
- Shared (with others)
- Workspace Published (published by your team’s Playbook Managers)
- Harvey (preloaded examples: MSA, NDA, Commercial Contracts)
Additional Improvements
- Publish playbooks: Playbook Managers can move shared playbooks to published view
- Duplicate any playbook into your private workspace
- Improved definitions support: Harvey now understands in-document definitions when making suggestions
- Admin analytics: Track playbooks created, runs, and Word Add-In usage per user
These updates give firms more flexibility in managing playbooks across teams while making it easier for individual users to contribute and collaborate. As always, we’re excited to hear your feedback as we continue improving Playbooks.
