Release Notes
File Groups in Review Tables
Group related documents together for analysis in review tables.
What's New
Instead of manually ordering and reviewing documents one by one, file groups allow you to analyze related documents together in a review table. In practice:
- Each file group has its own row.
- Column queries extract information from the file group, using AI to reason through order and precedence of documents.
- You can click through files or citations to view which documents were used in arriving at the answer
Enhancements Since Early Access (EA)
We've made improvements to this feature since our initial EA release. You can now also:
- Verify, flag, and edit cells in a grouped row
- Apply all toolbelt actions to the grouped row (assignment, moving, open in assistant, etc.)
- More easily preview the contents of the documents contained within each group
- Export groups
- Rename groups
Why It Matters
Often sets of related documents such as original agreements, amendments, or later versions need to be understood together. Previously, review tables treated each file on its own, which meant you often had to manually find related documents and compare them yourself.
File groups let you review related documents as a single unit, making it easier to see how information changes across files. This can reduce manual cross-checking and help you review documents more efficiently.
How to Use
Watch the video below to get a sense of how file groups simplify review. Follow the steps in Using Review Tables to learn how to organize your tables.
