Assist Mode UI and Interaction Enhancements

A redesigned Assist mode experience—mirroring Assistant Workflows—is now available, improving usability, transparency, and responsiveness.

We’re updating Assist mode to align more closely with the Assistant Workflows experience and better support agentic interactions:

  • New thread UI:
    • Chat-style layout with avatar bubbles
    • Persistent follow-up prompt box pinned to the bottom
    • Improved mid-thread file uploads and previews
    • Slightly centered layout for better readability
  • Nested thinking states: Visible reasoning steps will show how Harvey arrives at its answers, including in follow-up responses.
  • Sticky followups: Suggested follow-up questions now persist in the thread for easy re-use.
  • No changes to Draft mode UI or to the models powering Assist mode—quality and behavior remain the same.
