Translate entire documents with great accuracy

Updated yesterday

Overview

Harvey's Translation workflow is used to translate entire documents to another language. While the Assistant can accept inputs and provide outputs in multiple languages, we recommend using the Translation workflow for the most accurate results.

Guidelines and Best Practices

  • Formatting and layout may be affected during translation, so be prepared to review and adjust the translated document if needed. Uploaded .docx files are most likely to retain formatting upon export, while .pdf files will not.

  • Review the translated document for clarity, coherence, and correctness. Adjust as necessary to ensure the final output is polished.

  • Please note that the translation focuses on the body of the text, and any footnotes within the document may not be translated.

  • Keep in mind that while the tool aims to provide high-quality translations, human review may be necessary for sensitive or critical documents.

How to Translate a Document

  1. Drag and drop the file you need translated into the document uploader.

  2. Use the Select Language dropdown menu below the document uploader to choose the desired output language.

  3. Click 'Ask Harvey'.

After completing the translation you are able to save the example, reset the Translation workflow, or export the translation to a .docx file.
