Overview

Your firm can enforce its Intapp ethical walls in Harvey by integrating with Intapp Walls for AI directly.

Once connected, Harvey mirrors your firm's Intapp ethical walls and enforces them across supported Harvey surfaces, so users can't view or share content associated with restricted matters.

Before You Begin

Intapp Walls for AI is a separate product from Intapp Walls for Cloud or On-Prem. If your firm does not have it, arrange it with your Intapp representative before setting up the integration.

You can find additional information about the Intapp integration below:

Step 1: Connect Harvey to Intapp Walls for AI

  1. In Harvey, go to Settings → Matters & Walls (previously called Client Matters).
  2. Under Wall provider, select Intapp Walls for AI.
  3. Open the setup guide linked in the form and follow the instructions to generate your firm's four connection values: API URL, Auth URL, Client ID, and Client secret.

  4. Copy each value into the matching field in Harvey.
  5. Select Save.
  6. Contact your Harvey representative, and Harvey will begin the sync in coordination with you.

Step 2: Turn On Enforcement

Enforcement is controlled by two toggles, which are off by default. Turn them on when you're ready for Harvey to enforce your walls:

  1. In Harvey, go to Settings → Matters & Walls (previously called Client Matters).
  2. Under Ethical Walls, you will see two toggles:
    1. Enable ethical walls: This toggle turns on wall enforcement. If a walled client matter is attached to a resource in Harvey, restricted users can't see the resource or receive it on a share. Attaching a matter stays optional.
    2. Require ethical walls for sharing Threads, Vaults, and Review Tables: This toggle requires that users attach a client matter to a Thread, Vault, or Review Table before sharing it with another user. Spaces, Workflow Agents, and Playbooks can still be shared without a client matter.

Once connected and enabled, Harvey mirrors your firm's Intapp wall policies and enforces them during share actions across supported Harvey surfaces.
