Overview

Vault's review features help teams ensure data accuracy and streamline collaboration when working with extracted table data. Users can edit cells, verify content, assign rows for review, flag items needing attention, and track activity over time. These capabilities make it easier to divide work, monitor progress, and manage projects—all within a shared workspace.

How to Edit a Cell

To edit a cell, select the cell and click the square Edit icon in the top right of each section in the cell details. From here you can input and save your modifications.

Select the edit icon within a cell to make changes.

Customizing Cell Display Formats

Harvey allows you to control how edited data is displayed—making it easier to align values to internal standards or client-specific preferences.

You can customize how date, currency, and number columns are formatted:

  • Date: Choose from multiple display styles (e.g. Jan 31 2025 or 31/01/2025)
  • Currency: Select how values appear (e.g. $5 vs 5 USD)
  • Number: Adjust the number of visible decimal places (0–4; e.g. 1.2 vs 1.234)

Once a display format is applied, Harvey will re-render every cell in that column to match—even if individual cells have been edited.

Note: Cell data will not be changed, only how it is displayed.

For example: If a cell is edited to say “Jan 4 2000 if condition X is met, Feb 4 2000 if not,” and then the column format is changed, it would display as “01/04/2000 if condition X is met, 02/04/2000 if not.”

This ensures consistency across the table without requiring additional manual edits.

Verifying Cells and Tables

To verify a cell: select a single cell and click Verify in the cell details.

Click into a single cell and select Verify.

To verify an entire row: click on the cell containing the document name. You will see a preview of the document and each cell in the row. Click Verify all in the top right.

To view the verification status of all cells in a table, toggle on Show verification in the top right corner of the table. All verified cells will be highlighted in green.

Toggle 'show verification' in the top right corner.

Assigning Rows for Review

To help divide work across your team, you can assign rows in a table to other users for review. Assigned rows are visible to all collaborators with access to the table.

To assign rows:

  1. Select the rows using the checkbox on the far left of the table, or use the header checkbox to select all.
  2. In the bottom toolbar, click Assign to and choose a user from the list.
Click the 'assign to' option to assign rows

Flagging Cells

You can flag a cell with a red marker to indicate it needs further review. Flags are visible to all users with access to the table, helping teams identify and prioritize items that require additional attention.

To flag a cell:

  1. Select a single cell and click Flag in the cell details panel.

Activity Tracking

You can view a cell’s edit, verification, flagging, and assignment history under the Activity section after clicking into the cell. This shows when each action was taken and by whom, giving full visibility into the cell’s review history.

Click into each cell to see the activity log.
